This project centered on building a strong, cohesive identity for Aurora Outdoors—a brand rooted in adventure and sustainability. I developed a complete branding system that captures its rugged, eco-conscious personality while appealing to a modern outdoor audience. The work included logo design, apparel concepts, and a detailed brand guideline covering color palette, typography, and tone of voice. Every element was designed to work seamlessly across platforms and products, reinforcing brand consistency and strengthening its presence in the outdoor retail space.
Process
The logo for Aurora Outdoors was developed through a process focused on translating the brand’s core values—adventure, nature, and sustainability—into a bold, memorable mark. I started by exploring shapes inspired by mountain ranges and the arc of the northern lights, aiming to create a symbol that instantly connects with the outdoors. The final design combines sharp, organic peaks with a clean, modern typeface to balance ruggedness with clarity. Color selection was just as intentional: I chose a deep teal to represent nature and stability, paired with a dark navy for contrast and readability. The result is a versatile logo that captures the brand’s spirit and works seamlessly across digital, print, and merchandise.
Deliverables
Once the branding was finalized, I moved on to applying the visual identity across products and apparel to strengthen brand recognition and connect with the target audience. Every item—from jackets and hats to backpacks and outdoor gear—was designed to reflect the brand’s aesthetic and core values. Consistency in tone, color, and design ensured that each product felt like a natural extension of the brand. The result is a cohesive product line that not only looks unified but also resonates with outdoor enthusiasts who value both function and style.
